My part of the cube was mostly the visuals :D. I thought of using pop up characters to make the story more engaging and more take on a cuter look. The characters were drawn using watercolours and brush pen as the outline. The same pen was used for the bat and angel wings in the background.
Some concepts we decided on installing in the cube (IDJ);

StartFragmentThe early stage when only the balance was installed. Some white paint was splashed onto the background to make a galaxy-ish look. The white side was repeated inversely.EndFragment
Working on the scenes! Scroll up to reveal!
StartFragmentThere was some trouble installing the characters to make them movable, but the hot glue gun fixed everything! :DEndFragment

StartFragment Tadaaa!! The final product! The plastic curtains in front can be pulled open and closed with the strings at the side.EndFragment

This is how the characters pop up! The cardboard strips are pushed up to reveal the characters.
EndFragment
Overall, the project was a success, but there were some technical issues that hindered the story-telling. This was mostly because we relied to much on our technician (a.k.a Joshua), and also time management issues. Next time, I need to take extra care on job allocation and also try to finish early so that we can do a few more test runs to prevent any technical difficulties.
Here is my IDJ! :D ( including ideas that didnt make it)
Lastly, for some bloopers!

Accidentally made Kylo to baby-ish and gave him too much brown hahaha.
Okayy that's it!! Thanks for reading :)))
One last close-up of Kylo Ren :D
