Collage is done by cutting and pasting imagery from different sources onto a piece of work to create a new and interesting piece. The imagery placed should be chosen sensitively, for example, considering the contours or different elements of design like contrast or rhythm.
Here are some of my works.

In this piece, I arranged the coloured and monochrome parts like a mirror.

I divided two portraits into equal strips, and exchange the eyes to make it more interesting. I also added some handmade patterns on the strips in the middle and sides.

I arranged the hands, legs, and portraits in a circle to make a rhythm.

For this one, I added some text for emphasis on the play with glasses.

I added some hand drawn patterns to finish the portrait. I purposely chose mountains
which matched the contour
of the hair and face.

The added the imagery with same visual weight on both sides to create balance. I liked the hands idea, so I made another one based on this idea.

This is my favorite piece. The yellowed paper gave it a retro feel, which matched the flowers and doily. The words 'garden feature' at the bottom made it look like a journal page.
Overall, this method was quite interesting and useful to make contrast with other mediums and colour.
