In order to come up with cohesive items that flow well with one another, I decided to make a huge theme which brings all of the items together, and also ease up the process of coming up with items.

So, here is the mind map that explains my theme and thought process.

As you can see, my theme is about marks, be it marks I have created, or marks left on me by others. I divided my items into 2 categories, which are tools and surfaces, much like the things to be considered during mark making. Tools are the items that can be used to make my marks, and surfaces are the items which my mark is placed upon. However, many of my items have not been used from here since this mind map had stimulated my ideas, and I thought of many, many other items from this string of thought.

The items are still revolving around this mark theme, but has evolved into something a bit more than that. I thought of the marks in terms of time. Namely, marks made in the past, present and the future. So, I thought of using one item to tie all of the items together, which is a journal, that inscribes all of the details and info of my items. The mindmap below describes my thoughts of the journal.

In the mind map, there are hard solid marks that standout, and also softer marks to balance it out. All of it is done with pen, brush pen and colour pencil.

The logo I have chosen is the shape of a pencil, which fits excellently with the mark making theme if I would say so myself. My theme here is meant to evoke the feeling of nostalgia for the past, determination for the present and hope for the future. I hope you like it!
