Hello again! This time, I chose 3 of my favorite picks from the seniors shots. The theme was B&W street photography. Mr Martin told us to do so because he wanted to know our preference and style, so for this post I'm going to be totally honest! Actually I took up photography to brush up my eye for composition and to take reference photographs for drawing. So my favorite subjects are urban buildings that look kind of weathered. Something about street lights and wires also attract me. Sometimes, I like a touch of surrealism and weirdness. Minimalism is also right up my alley. You can see that in my previous post from favorite shots from photographers. So without further ado, here are my 3 picks!

Staring into space by Chloe

The complicated and intricate design of the building is what attracted me, and the man in the photo was a nice touch. He didn't stand out, yet removing him from the picture would make this shot substantially less intriguing. This makes for good reference too.

Hallway. by Chloe

What caught my attention was the melancholy vibe of this shot. The surroundings were dimly lit, with light streaming in to illuminate the man in the photo. I like how the area is cluttered, but surprisingly tidy around the main subject. It gives a sort of quiet emphasis. The varying textures on the walls and ceiling are also quite attractive.

Bos by Jennifer

What really attracted me was the wall, actually. It was very striking and eye-catching. It contrasted the right part very much. It kind of made me curious of what was that stall was selling. The wall really gave this photo a different vibe that made it stand out from the rest, although I can't really put my finger onto it. All an all it was a nice shot!

So that's it! I hope you understand more of my tastes now.
