Tackling a seemingly broad topic?

So last week, my lecturer had asked us to research about what to shoot for our final project. He gave us a pretty vague answer that left me scratching my head, but what I got out of it was to start by thinking on what degree we were interested to take and what did we like about it, and how it relates to photography.

So, why I was interested in graphic design in the first place was because I wanted to give function and marketable value to my illustrations. Here are some of my illustrations that I find much joy in producing so that you get a better picture of what I'm saying.

How do I combine text with my drawings to increase the value, add meaning and make it into a sellable product? I am very interested in designing book covers, illustrating for storybooks, children's books magazines and the like. So mainly, these are the reasons for taking interest in graphic design.

The reason why I took photography in the first place was to brush up my sense of composition, so the big question mark is how do I relate all this together? By "all this", I meant illustration and photography? I have some ideas, where one of my favorite artist did. She had taken a photo first, and then drawn over it digitally.

From this model.

But if it's way too much, I suggest something else by another artist.

This artist is more subtle and retains much more of the original photo. I think it's very cool to combine both illustration and photography!

Another part I like about graphic design is about designing stationery like notebooks and washi tapes but I don't know if there is much to expand on there.

Maybe something about knolling? I'm not too sure about that though.

So moving on, I would like to talk about some random stuff that I like to take!

Power lines. I've drawn them but not taken much photos so here are some from the internet to paint a better picture on what I mean.

So far this is what I can come up with, I hope it's enough, thank you!
